Getting to Sinnoh

The first time you go to Sinnoh, you need four badges from the region you are leaving, and you start in your bedroom in Twinleaf Town, at the beginning of the story.

When you come back later, you arrive outside the last Pokémon Center you used in Sandgem Town, Jubilife City or Oreburgh City. Those three and your house in Twinleaf Town are the only places Sinnoh remembers: if your last Pokémon Center was in Floaroma Town or Eterna City, a return trip puts you in your bedroom again and needs the four badges again. To leave Sinnoh, talk to Mom at home in Twinleaf Town.

The cartridge

Sinnoh needs your Pokémon Platinum cartridge (see Supported ROMs). With v0.82.0 the client extracts it once more: a notice on the title screen opens the extractor. Let it run to the end before you play.

If the extractor stops moving at "maps 1 of 2", do not press Cancel. Close the game and open it again, and the extraction carries on where it left off.

What does not work in Sinnoh yet

• Poké Marts do not sell anything yet. Bring the Poké Balls and medicine you need.
• Hidden items on the ground cannot be picked up.
• There is no Fly, Surf or bicycle in Sinnoh yet.
• Respawn in the menu does nothing in Sinnoh. If your team faints, you go back to the last Pokémon Center you used, as usual.
• Some buildings are closed. Walking into one shows a short notice and leaves you on the doormat.

Cutscenes and getting unstuck

Let every cutscene play to the end, and do not open the menu while one is running. The one that needs the most care is the Running Shoes scene at home in Twinleaf Town (see chapter 1).

If a cutscene leaves you somewhere you cannot walk out of, log out and back in, which usually helps. If you come back in the same place, send a bug report from the game's menu.

Level caps

With the level cap run modifier, the cap in Sinnoh is 14 at the start, 22 after the Coal Badge and 26 after the Forest Badge.
